Filler Dissolving Esher, Surrey
Filler correction treatments have become increasingly common as the use of dermal fillers has risen significantly over the past decade. While fillers are generally very safe—especially in the hands of a skilled practitioner—unwanted results, complications, or migration can occur. Thankfully, hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be safely dissolved using a corrective enzyme called Hyalase.
What Is Filler Dissolving and How Does It Work?
Hyalase (hyaluronidase) is an injectable enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid—the primary component in most dermal fillers. Once injected into the affected area, Hyalase starts to dissolve the filler within 24 hours, allowing the body to naturally absorb and remove it.
Filler correction is particularly effective for treating:
- Lumps or bumps in the lips
- Overfilled or puffy tear troughs
- Superficially placed or migrated filler
- Any poor aesthetic outcomes from previous filler treatments
This treatment will restore your natural features for you to embrace. If desired, you can refill with a skilled injector like Dr Raj and restore some volume using dermal fillers.
What to Expect During your Filler Dissolving Treatment
Before treatment, a full consultation is carried out to assess the area and discuss your concerns. If it’s your first time receiving Hyalase, a patch test may be recommended. The treatment itself takes around 30 minutes, including prep time. A numbing agent may be applied before a small amount of Hyalase is injected into the targeted areas. You may feel stinging or pressure during injection.
Swelling, redness, or tenderness is normal in the days following treatment. Most filler is dissolved within 24–48 hours, and full settling occurs within a week. If you plan to have new filler placed, this can usually be done after 10–14 days.
