What is Juläine?
Juläine is a next-generation biostimulatory injectable designed to activate your skin’s own collagen production and subtly restore lost facial volume. Unlike traditional fillers, Juläine works gradually — it doesn’t simply “fill,” it encourages renewal from within. Over time, as your collagen framework is rebuilt, skin texture improves, contours lift, and your face regains a refreshed, natural fullness.
How Juläine Works
Juläine is composed of Poly- L-lactic acid (PLLA) that, once injected into the deep dermis, acts as a stimulus to your fibroblasts. Rather than immediate volumising, the effect is cumulative: the product degrades slowly, and collagen is deposited in its place.
This results in gradual, natural tightening and volumization over weeks to months. Because the effect is from your own collagen synthesis, results can last significantly longer than conventional fillers.
What makes Juläine unique?
Juläine uses very uniform, smooth, high-purity PLLA microspheres (via LaSynPro) which are less prone to aggregation or clustering. This dramatically reduces the risk of granuloma or nodule formation which has been known to be an issue with other PLLA products such as Sculptra.
Juläine stimulates collagen via a non-inflammatory pathway which is long term better for true skin rejuvenation as opposed to causing profound inflammation.
Benefits & Indications:
- Natural-looking results
- Volume is built over time, changes are subtle and progressive, avoiding “overdone” appearances
- Longer duration: many patients enjoy visible improvement for up to 18–24 months (depending on individual biology)
- Improved skin: quality not just volume—texture, firmness, and radiance are often enhanced post treatment
- Juläine is a versatility biostimulator, good for facial volumisation in cheeks, temples, jawline, chin, and to soften nasolabial / marionette lines
What to expect:
Most patients can resume normal activities quickly, with only mild transient swelling or bruising
- Medical history and expectations are discussed; contraindications are reviewed.
- A full facial assessment is done to map out areas of volume loss, skin quality, symmetry, and to discuss realistic goals.
- Juläine is injected via micro-bolus or micro-cannula / needle techniques into the deep dermal / superficial subdermal plane, depending on the area.
- Injections are placed in a strategic grid or layer, taking care to avoid overcorrection.
- A light massage is usually performed to help distribute the product evenly.
Post-Procedure & Aftercare
- Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur, usually resolving in a few days.
- Massage the treated areas (e.g. gentle circular rubs) several times per day for several days (as instructed).
- Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat (sauna, sun exposure) or pressure on the area for 24–48 hours.
- Makeup can often be used after a short period, depending on any injection site trauma.
Follow-up & Additional Sessions
- Results develop progressively over 4–12 weeks as collagen accumulation occurs.
- Many treatment plans require 2–3 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, to build optimal results.
- At review, we assess whether further touch-ups are needed.

FAQS
How soon will I see results?
Some subtle changes may begin within 2–4 weeks, with more noticeable improvements around 8–12 weeks as collagen builds. The maximal effect often occurs around 3–6 months after the last session.
How many sessions will I need?
Is Juläine painful?
Discomfort is usually well tolerated. A topical numbing agent or local anaesthetic can be used prior to injections to minimise any pain.
Will it feel firm or unnatural?
No — because the effect is built gradually by your body’s collagen, the outcome tends to feel soft, natural, and integrated with your own tissues.
How long do the results last?
Individual variation applies, but many patients maintain noticeable improvement for 18–24 months after completing their course of treatment. Occasional maintenance may be needed.
